Krachi West MP Reaffirms Commitment to Children’s Rights on World Children’s Day

Member of Parliament for Krachi West, Honourable Rev. Helen Adwoa Ntoso is urging commitment to upholding rights and dignity of young citizens, joining the global community in celebrating World Children’s Day.

The theme for this year’s celebration, “My Day, My Rights,” has sparked a renewed call to action for leaders, stakeholders, and communities to prioritize the well-being and future of Ghana’s children.

In a powerful statement, Honourable Ntoso emphasized the importance of listening to children and involving them in decision-making processes that affect their lives.

The MP stressed the need for a supportive environment where children are safe, educated, healthy, valued, and given opportunities to reach their full potential.

The MP’s call to action highlights key areas of focus, including ensuring access to quality education, healthcare, and protection from harm.

She emphasized the need to address disparities and vulnerabilities, particularly for children with special needs or living in disadvantaged communities.

As Ghana recommits to building a society where no child is left behind, the nation is poised to make significant strides in promoting the well-being and future of its young citizens.

The global commitment to protecting children’s rights, as enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, serves as a guiding framework for Ghana’s efforts.

This World Children’s Day, Ghanaians are urged to join the call to action, prioritizing compassion, courage, and dedication to safeguarding the rights and well-being of the nation’s children.
