The Madina Municipal Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Mr. Wisdom Akorlor, has initiated a major youth empowerment drive through strategic partnerships with selected skills training organizations within the Madina Constituency.
Under this initiative, free skills training opportunities are being offered to interested young people as part of efforts to equip them with employable skills and promote self-reliance.
The training programs cover a range of vocational areas, including massage therapy, beauty therapy, hairdressing, and other practical skills tailored to current market demands.
In addition to the skills training component, the Madina Municipal YEA office has also opened recruitment for unemployed youth within the municipality.
Available job opportunities span several sectors, including barbershop services, cleaning services, fashion design, factory work, and other trades aimed at reducing unemployment among the youth.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Akorlor emphasized that the program forms part of YEA’s broader mandate to empower young people economically and reduce joblessness through both skills acquisition and direct employment opportunities.
He encouraged eligible and interested youth to take advantage of the initiative to improve their livelihoods.
