MASLOC Recovers Three Government Vehicles from NPP’s Chairman Wontumi

The Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Mrs. Abigail Elorm Mensah, has revealed that the Centre has successfully retrieved three government-owned vehicles from the residence of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi.

According to Mrs. Mensah, the operation was carried out with the assistance of National Security operatives, underscoring the state’s commitment to reclaiming government assets inappropriately held by individuals.

While the circumstances under which the vehicles came into Chairman Wontumi’s possession remain unclear, MASLOC has yet to confirm whether the retrieval is part of a broader audit or asset recovery initiative.

The Centre has pledged to continue efforts aimed at ensuring that all government property is accounted for and used for its intended purposes.
