Kwabre East MP attributes conversy in Parliament to inconsistency in Speaker’s ruling

Following the heated debate that erupted in Ghana’s Parliament over Speaker Alban Sumana Kinsford Bagbin’s declaration of the Kpandai seat vacant, the Minority Caucus is accusing him of inconsistency and bias.

The decision has sparked concerns about fairness and the rule of law, with the Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, Honourable Onyinah Acheampong Kwasi-Gyamfi questioning the reason for inconsistency.

The Member of Parliament argues the Speaker’s ruling contradicts previous decisions on similar cases, raising questions about fairness and consistency.

“There’s some kind of inconsistency…and that is the basis of our argument,” a Mr. Onyinah Acheampong said.

As tensions rise, Ghanaians are watching closely, to see how the matter is resolved.
