Honourable Dr. Stephen Amoah, Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso constituency in the Ashanti Region, has denied allegations of tribal bigotry circulating on social media.

A viral video claimed to show Dr. Amoah making tribalistic comments, but he asserts the statement was either misconstrued or altered using AI tools to misrepresent him.

“I am not a tribal bigot. I believe tribe is a social construction and doesn’t define a person,” Dr. Amoah said. “I assist people without considering their tribe because they are human.”

Dr. Amoah challenged anyone with the original video to come forward, stating those sharing the fake video are perpetuating tribalism. He emphasized that all humans are equal and should be engaged without politics or false labelling.

The MP also refuted claims that his church, Charismatic Christian Centre (CCC), supports Kennedy Agyapong, calling the allegations baseless.

Dr. Amoah appealed to NPP delegates to vote for Kennedy Agyapong as the party’s flagbearer.
