The police have arrested a 55-year-old man, William Gyamfi, also known as Kofi Manso, for allegedly stabbing a female family member in both eyes with a pair of scissors during a domestic dispute at Sefwi Abrokofe.
According to reports, the suspect allegedly attacked the victim, Akua Agyeiwaa, believed to be in her early 50s, following a misunderstanding between them.
The assault reportedly left the woman in a critical condition.
The victim was rushed to a health facility for emergency medical treatment, while the suspect was taken into police custody to assist with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, as authorities urge the public to resolve domestic disputes peacefully and report early signs of violence.
