The Member of Parliament for the Madina Constituency, Dr. Francis-Xavier Sosu, has donated assorted food items to the Muslim community in the municipality to support them during the holy month of Ramadan.
The donation was made through the Islam Project, an initiative under the office of the Madina MP aimed at strengthening engagement with the Muslim community and supporting them during important religious observances.

The items were distributed to several Muslim families and groups within the constituency to assist them in preparing meals for the daily breaking of the fast, commonly known as iftar.
Beneficiaries received essential food supplies including bottles of cooking oil, bags of rice, tins of milk, and other foodstuffs intended to help ease the burden of providing meals throughout the fasting period.
Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Sosu explained that the gesture forms part of his office’s broader commitment to supporting all faith communities in the constituency.
He noted that Ramadan is a sacred period for Muslims that encourages reflection, prayer, self-discipline, and acts of charity.

According to the MP, supporting Muslims during the fasting period demonstrates solidarity and appreciation for the role the Muslim community plays in promoting peace, unity, and moral guidance within society.
He added that initiatives such as the Islam Project are designed to deepen the relationship between his office and the Muslim faithful in Madina while fostering inclusiveness and mutual respect among residents of diverse religious backgrounds.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the MP for what they described as a timely intervention during the fasting period. They noted that the donation would go a long way in helping families prepare meals for iftar and sustain them throughout the month.
The Muslim community also offered prayers for Dr. Sosu and the Madina Constituency, asking for continued peace, development, and unity among residents.
