Tema West MP Embarks on Infrastructural Developments and Sports Initiatives to Boost Community Spirit

The Constituency is set to witness significant infrastructure improvements, with the ongoing Motorway expansion project addressing long-standing traffic congestion issues, the Member of Parliament for Tema West, Honourable James Enu, had said in an interview with Citi FM Eye Witness News.

The MP noted that the Ashaiman-Adjei Kojo underbridge, notorious for causing bottlenecks, will be transformed into an overhead passage, easing the flow of traffic and reducing travel times.

Residents will also benefit from the construction of a new 24-hour market, providing a safer and more conducive environment for traders.

The market, which had been operating in a dilapidated facility since the 1960s, will be relocated to a new site, with construction expected to commence soon.

In a bid to improve healthcare access, a new clinic is set to be built in a rapidly growing settlement.

The facility will serve the needs of residents who previously had to travel long distances to Ashaiman to access medical care.

The constituency is also witnessing a resurgence in sports, particularly football.

A local team, Port City, is making waves in Division One, while another team is competing in Division Two.

Efforts are underway to revive the constituency’s reputation as a football hub, with initiatives aimed at promoting youth sports development.

A recent Easter tournament, organized by the MP, drew significant interest, with 12 teams participating in the event.

The tournament showcased the talents of local youth and highlighted the potential for sports to bring the community together.

The MP’s efforts to promote sports development have yielded positive results, with some players securing opportunities to play abroad.
