In a grand celebration of service, leadership, and community transformation, 26 exceptional Ghanaians were honored at the 2025 Diamond Excellence Awards (DEA), recognizing their invaluable contributions to socio-economic progress and nation-building.

Held under the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Greatness”, the annual awards ceremony recognized a diverse group of honorees, including media personalities, traditional leaders, social advocates, and public servants.

Each recipient was presented with a symbolic diamond plaque, a citation, and a medal, reflecting the enduring impact of their efforts toward a stronger and more united Ghana.

Among the high-profile awardees were:

  • Akua Afriyie Adjoa, Gender Ambassador of Ghana, for her advocacy in women’s empowerment,

  • Berima Akesse Kyeremateng III, Chief of Asin Adubiase, recognized for leadership in community development,

  • Kwadwo Dickson, veteran broadcast journalist with Angel TV,

  • Ishmael Awudi, General Manager of Ghana News Guide,

  • Gladys Biney, Ghana’s Peace Ambassador, and

  • Senya Kwabena Solomon (DC De Barber), celebrated for grassroots youth engagement.

Other colorful personalities such as Ohenewa Kesse Boahene (Gargantuan Lady), Prince Nana Okyere Mc (Okele), China Man aka Akwatia Despite, and Regal Prophet Bismark Nana Boateng also received accolades for their unique influence in shaping social and cultural spaces in Ghana.

Speaking during the ceremony, Mr. Daniel Walker, CEO of Danny’s Entertainment and founder of the Diamond Excellence Awards, underscored the significance of recognizing impact-makers in their lifetime.

“In Africa, we often wait until people are gone before we show appreciation—but that should not be the case.

We need to celebrate and honor individuals while they are still with us,” he said.

Mr. Walker also highlighted improvements to this year’s event, including enhanced organization, increased media coverage, and future plans to host the event in Ghana’s capital.

“We’ve raised the bar, and this reflects our broader vision—to eventually bring this prestigious event to Accra,” he noted.
