Tema West MP Pledges Logistical Support to Strengthen Local Security

Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency,Honourable Lawyer James Enu is reassuring his commitment to providing logistical support in a bid to enhance security within the Tema enclave.

Lawyer James Enu made the disclosure last Sunday,December 21,2025 at the sidelines of his engagement with the police within the Tema Region.

The engagement tried to assess the mode of policing within the Tema enclave;the successes,the shortcomings and proffer ways to mitigate in a bid to make the Region safer.

One meeting identified  motorcycle snatching with its attendant robbery cases  which happen under the cover of darkness promising to enhance streetlights installation and replacement of faulty ones.

The Member of Parliament highlighted the risks involved in policing amidst scarce resources thereby promising to assist in any way possible.

He applauded the police for their effective policing which had forestalled unforeseen circumstances and ensured security.

He said despite the plethora of risks involved in policing, the police had shown commitment in protecting the people of the Tema Region.

“We believe ithat it’s by virtue of the good works they have done over the years that Tema West had witness insecurity.Indeed, the police are our friends and stakeholders and I think whatever we do, we must carry them along and that is one of the reasons we’re here to appreciate them,”Hon. Enu said.

He hoped the Almighty God would continue to protect personnel of the police service and engrave them with all it may take to protect the people of Tema Region.

With at least a  total of 400 police personnel within the Tema West enclave, the Member of Parliament extended an oral appreciation and hamper package.

Honourable Lawyer James Enu underscored the importance of the work of the police thereby assuring a yearly appreciation and further pledged to support them with part of his Common Fund.
