The Accra Central Police Command has arrested a wanted suspect, Reagan Kwesi Egbi Addo, also known as Morgan Addo, at the 2025 Diaspora Summit held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The arrest was carried out on December 19 after police identified the suspect posing as a participant at the high-profile event.
According to police, Addo is suspected of targeting conferences and large gatherings, where he allegedly steals ATM cards and other valuables from unsuspecting attendees.

Following his arrest, a search conducted at his residence in Ashale Botwe led to the recovery of eight ATM cards believed to have been stolen.
Police say investigations are ongoing and have reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of participants at public events.
The Accra Central Police have also announced heightened security measures at conferences and similar gatherings, urging the public to remain alert and safeguard their personal belongings at all times.
