Ododiodioo MP Outlines Ongoing Developmental Projects in Constituency

Member of Parliament for Ododiodioo, Honourable Alfred Ashie Kotey has outlined key projects underway in the constituency, saying more work remains to meet the needs of residents.

The Legislator noted that human needs are “insatiable,” and that while progress is being made, there is still a lot more to be done for the people of Ododiodioo.

A major focus, Hon. Kotey said, is the completion of a school project that was abandoned for eight years under the previous NPP administration.

“For eight years, the NPP didn’t touch it. And to the glory of God, I’ve gotten funds to take hold of it after a long struggle to continue and finish that legacy project,” he stated.

According to the MP, work has advanced significantly, and the contractor is only awaiting the release of funds to return to the site. He described the school as “the heartbeat of the people of Ododiodioo” and assured constituents he will not rest until it is completed before the end of his tenure.

On the Salaga Market, the MP said a contractor has been engaged, but progress has been slow. He disclosed that he has met with the Mayor and Coordinating Director of AMA and directed that the contractor be charged to work within a specific timeframe or be replaced. “What we want is the job done,” he stressed.

The MP also announced that Ododiodioo will host a 24-hour economy market under the government’s plan. After lobbying, he said approval has been secured to build the market at the Yarn Market in Old Fadama.

“AMA has done the survey, the Regional Administration has done the same, and then also the Ministry of Local Government. And they have all approved the site,” he confirmed.

He concluded by urging constituents to remain hopeful as work continues. “So good things are coming. And people should just fasten their seat belts and let’s work together,” the MP said.
