The campaign team of Chris Lloyd, together with some constituency Youth Organisers, has picked nomination forms for him to contest for the position of National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The forms were picked at the party’s headquarters in Accra, officially signaling Mr. Lloyd’s intention to lead the youth wing of the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Speaking after picking the forms, youth organisers from various constituencies across the country who accompanied the team said they have strong conviction in Chris Lloyd’s capacity to mobilize and energize the youth base of the party.
According to them, Mr. Lloyd has over the years demonstrated commitment to youth development and grassroots mobilization, and is best placed to reorganize the youth wing to make it more vibrant and attractive.

“We believe Chris Lloyd has what it takes to mobilize the youth to come out in their numbers to support the NPP to win power in 2028. He understands the youth, he connects with the youth, and he has the strategy to bring everyone on board,” one of the youth organisers stated.
They added that with the party heading into a crucial election in 2028 after losing power, it needs a dynamic and unifying figure who can bridge the gap between the party’s leadership and its large youth following.

Chris Lloyd, who is expected to officially launch his campaign in the coming days, is anticipated to outline his vision for the youth wing, focusing on rebranding, job creation advocacy, and strengthening the party’s grassroots structures.
The NPP is expected to hold its national executive elections to elect new national officers to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years as part of its rebuilding process.
