Hon. Boakye Agyarko, has received a major boost in his bid to become the next National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), following a powerful endorsement from the Eastern Regional TESCON fraternity.
This comes after an engagement with TESCON Presidents from various tertiary institutions across the Eastern Region earlier today.
In a strong show of confidence, the TESCON leadership unanimously endorsed Hon. Agyarko’s candidature for the National Chairman position, citing his vast experience, proven leadership credentials, political maturity, and commitment to rebuilding the party.
According to the student leaders, the NPP at this crucial stage needs a chairman who embodies credibility, unity, and strategic direction to reposition the party for victory in the 2028 general elections.
“The message from the Eastern Regional TESCON fraternity was clear: Personality, experience and leadership qualities matter,” a spokesperson for the group said.
“For us, the choice is about leadership that can unite the party, energise the grassroots and strategically position the NPP to reclaim power in 2028,” they added.
The TESCON Presidents noted that Hon. Boakye Agyarko’s long-standing service to the party, from his days as a founding member to his role as a former National Campaigns Manager and Energy Minister, makes him uniquely qualified to heal divisions and strengthen party structures at all levels.
“In Boakye Agyarko, we see a Chairman with the experience, authority and political acumen to help deliver victory for the NPP. He is a unifier and a strategist the party needs at this time,” the endorsement statement stressed.
Hon. Agyarko, who has been touring the country engaging various party structures, has anchored his campaign on rebuilding, reconciliation, discipline, and energizing the party’s base for a comeback in 2028.
