President John Dramani Mahama kicked off his “Thank You” tour of the Northern Region on March 22, 2025, to personally thank the people for their overwhelming support during the December 2024 elections.

The first stop was in Yendi, where Mahama visited the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II, at the historic Gbewaa Palace. This visit underscores Mahama’s respect for traditional leadership and the cultural significance of the Dagbon Kingdom in the Northern Region.
Next, Mahama headed to Tamale, the regional capital, to meet with the public at Jubilee Park.
