Police Woman Detained and Interdicted for Assaulting Colleague

The Ghana Police Service has detained and interdicted Police Constable Alonsi Elizabeth for allegedly assaulting a fellow officer.

The incident occurred after an argument between the two colleagues, during which Constable Elizabeth poured hot water on the victim, causing severe injuries.

Reports indicate that the altercation happened while on duty, and as a result, the victim sustained burns to her face and back.

The Ghana Police Service moved quickly to detain Constable Elizabeth and has begun both an internal investigation and legal proceedings against her.

The police are conducting a disciplinary process to assess Constable Elizabeth’s actions and determine what consequences she will face within the force.

Additionally, she will face the legal consequences of her actions and is expected to appear in court.

The victim, whose identity has not been revealed, is reported to be in stable condition and is receiving medical care for her injuries. Doctors continue to monitor her recovery.

This incident has raised concerns about violence within the police force and the need for greater accountability and discipline among officers.
