Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has stressed that strengthening Made-in-Ghana production through robust local supply chains is critical to building a resilient and self-sustaining economy.
She made the remarks during a working visit to the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, where she engaged with management and staff on government priorities aimed at industrial growth and economic transformation.
According to the Vice President, deepening local value chains will not only reduce the country’s dependence on imports but also create jobs, support small and medium-scale enterprises, and enhance Ghana’s competitiveness in both regional and global markets.
She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to policies and interventions that promote domestic production, agribusiness development, and industrialisation, noting that a strong Made-in-Ghana agenda remains central to long-term economic stability.
