The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 25-year-old suspect, Mamuda Kunja, who is alleged to be the leader of a notorious armed robbery gang operating in the Upper West Region.
According to police reports, Kunja is believed to head a five-member robbery gang that has been responsible for a series of armed robberies in the region, particularly in Sissala and surrounding communities.
His arrest follows ongoing police operations aimed at dismantling the gang. Kunja is the fourth suspect to be arrested in connection with the robberies.
The remaining suspect, identified as Dauda, is currently on the run, and police efforts are underway to apprehend him.
Investigations into the activities of the gang are ongoing, as police work to establish the full extent of their operations and recover any weapons or items linked to the robberies.
