The National Identification Authority (NIA) is set to open two new 24-hour Premium Centers in Kumasi to enhance access to Ghana Card registration and related services.
The new centers will be located at the Ground Floor of the Kessben Driving School at Bantama and the Ground Floor of the Love Chapel International, Tarkwa Maakro Branch, beside the GCB Bank.
The move is part of the Authority’s efforts to decentralize its premium services and bring them closer to residents in the Ashanti Region, in line with government’s 24-hour economy initiative.
According to the NIA, the premium centers will offer expedited services including new Ghana Card registration, card replacement, updating of personal records, and collection of printed cards at all hours.
The 24-hour premium service allows applicants to access fast-track registration and other services at a fee, without joining the long queues associated with the regular free registration centers.
The Authority says the Kumasi premium centers will operate day and night, providing convenience for workers, traders, and individuals who are unable to visit NIA offices during regular working hours.
The NIA is expected to announce the official opening date and applicable premium service charges in the coming days, while encouraging the public to take advantage of the new centers for swift and efficient service delivery.
