Journalist and long-serving communicator of the National Democratic Congress, Adnan Adams Mohammed, has declared his intention to contest for a position in the upcoming NDC National Executive elections.
Introducing himself, Mr. Adams said he has been practicing journalism for almost 15 years and has served the NDC from the grassroots to the national level.
He said his political journey started as Youth President in the constituency, after which he served as Branch Secretary and later as Deputy Constituency Communication Officer.
He added that he served as a member of the NDC National Communication Team from 2014 to 2018 and has been involved in several other advocacy and communication activities for the party.
According to him, his decision to join the National Executive is driven by the need to amplify the voice of the party in the media, noting that the NDC often does not get the needed media attention and publicity even while in government.
He argued that without people with the right experience in leadership to help formulate communication strategies, the party will not get the needed mileage in the media space.
He said he is bringing on board 15 years of professional media experience, political exposure, and mobilization skills garnered from ward to national level to help in decision-taking at the highest level of the party.
Mr. Adams expressed confidence that his experience, both in government and in opposition, and his strong relationship with the media will be an advantage over other contenders as the party prepares for the crucial 2028 general elections.
