A 12-year-old boy who challenged his school’s decision to promote a controversial book took the stage alongside President Donald Trump at the Museum of the Bible, sharing how his Christian faith gave him the courage to speak out.
The young student, whose identity was not disclosed for privacy reasons, recalled how a book promoting gender transitions was introduced at his school—something he and his family believed went against their Christian beliefs.
“I’ve been a Christian my whole life, and Jesus means everything to me,” the boy told the audience. “I knew this was not right, but I was afraid of getting in trouble.”
He went on to describe the consequences his family faced after raising concerns. “After my family spoke up, the school treated us badly, and kids started bullying me and my brother because of our faith,” he said.
The boy’s appearance at the event, which included remarks from President Trump, was part of a larger gathering focused on religious freedom and parental rights in education.
