The Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, has appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohunu, to give special consideration to trained Community Police Assistants (CPAs)from Madina during the next round of police recruitment.
Speaking at a brief ceremony, Hon. Sosu highlighted that the initiative aligns with former President John Dramani Mahama’s vision to create employment opportunities for young people—especially within the security services.

“This training provides a pathway for young people into future careers in the Police, Fire Service, and other security agencies. We are proud to announce that 46 youth from Madina—20 males and 26 females—have successfully completed their training,” the MP stated.
He acknowledged the critical role played by the Municipal Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Mr. Wisdom Akorlor, and his team in ensuring the successful training and orientation of the CPAs.

“These young men and women are well-prepared, disciplined, and committed to serving the Republic of Ghana.
I humbly appeal to the IGP to prioritize them in the next recruitment exercise.
They have already demonstrated their readiness and willingness to serve, and giving them this opportunity would be a great boost not just to them, but to the Madina constituency and the nation at large,” he said.

The MP emphasized that the Office of the Madina MP, in collaboration with the Madina Job Center and other local partners, is committed to ensuring that young people in the constituency continue to have access to meaningful career pathways.
As part of the initiative, the 46 newly trained CPAs were officially handed over to the Ghana Police Service and Ghana National Fire Service.
Leaders from both institutions expressed their gratitude for Hon. Sosu’s continued commitment to enhancing security and employment in the municipality.
