Ghana’s Budget Fuels Economic Growth and Job Creation-Kpando MP diagnosis 2026 budget

Ghana’s 2026 budget has sparked optimism, with the government highlighting key allocations to drive economic growth, job creation, and agricultural development, Member of Parliament for Kpando Constituency, Honourable Sebastian Deh has disclosed.

The budget’s allocations of significant funds to agriculture, including 2.2 billion cedis for PAM finance, 6.9 billion cedis for farmer services, and 618 million cedis for agriculture enclave roads Mr. Deh cited as indicators of industrial revolution.


Commenting on the 2026 budget and economic policy of the government on the floor of Parliament,the Kpando lawmaker emphasizes the government’s commitment to implementing programs like the Trade Sector Support Program, export promotion, and agro-processing zones to boost economic growth and  jobs creation.

The opposition has raised concerns about job creation targets, with the government clarifying that the 800,000 jobs promised are a medium-term projection, not expected to be achieved in 2026 alone.

The legislator however argued that the budget reflects the government’s focus on infrastructure development, rural electrification, and support for small-scale industries to drive economic transformation.
