Hon. Isaac Adjei Mensah, the Chairman of the Road and Transport Committee in Parliament and MP for Wassa East has assured that Government will constitute the Road Maintenance Board(RMB) in the coming weeks.
The Road Maintenance Trust Fund which was previously called Road Fund is a reliable financial resource avenue where funds are taken to undertake major road maintenance projects, and also to pay contractors. The Board is going to superintend the activities of the fund.
Adjei Mensah’s assurance statement follows criticisms from the Minority caucus over the delay in forming the board.
The Wassa East MP says the board when inaugurated will perform its duties with diligence to ensure that reset agenda is papably experienced in the road sector.
