Tragedy has rocked the quiet community of Nweneso Number Two in the Atwima Kwawoma District of the Ashanti Region, following the gruesome murder of an 18-year-old girl in her own home.
The young woman, whose identity is yet to be publicly disclosed, was found lifeless with horrific injuries to her head, believed to have been inflicted with a cutlass.
Mr. Fredrick Dua, the Assembly Member for the area, confirmed the heartbreaking incident, describing it as one of the most disturbing crimes the community has faced in recent years.
According to him, the body was discovered in the victim’s room, and the scene suggested a violent struggle.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and authorities have yet to make any arrests. Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the murder, and forensic teams were reportedly deployed to gather evidence from the scene.
News of the murder has sent shockwaves throughout the district, with many residents expressing deep sorrow, fear, and outrage over the incident.
Community members held an emergency meeting on Sunday, calling for enhanced security measures and urging anyone with useful information to assist the police.
