Ahead of the crucial encounter, Member of Parliament for Akwapem South, Honourable Lawrencia Adwoa Dziwornu, has passionately urged the national team to push forward and secure the coveted WAFCON trophy.
“The performance of the Black Queens after their opening match has been nothing short of admirable.
I believe this team has what it takes to overcome the Moroccan challenge and bring the trophy home,” the MP noted.
Hon. Dziwornu, who also serves as Chairperson of the Women’s Caucus on the Sports Committee in Parliament, emphasized the unifying power of sports in Ghana.
She said the team’s success has helped foster a sense of national pride and solidarity, not only among citizens but within Parliament as well.
She called on Ghanaians everywhere to rally behind the Black Queens, cheering them on to victory.
“With the right support and determination, I believe the Black Queens can make a significant impact and write their names in history,” she added.
Ghana and Morocco are vying for a spot in the finals of WAFCON 2024, with both sides aiming to etch their names into African football glory.
