Security agencies in Winneba have intensified preparations to ensure a safe, peaceful, and incident-free Christmas celebration for residents of the Effutu Municipality.

Officials from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and the Ghana National Fire Service have held a joint planning meeting at the Winneba Divisional Police Headquarters at Ateitu to coordinate security arrangements for the festive season.

Addressing officers at the meeting, the Winneba Divisional Police Commander, ACP Ibrahim Opoku, said the engagement was aimed at strengthening collaboration among the various security agencies to effectively protect lives and property before, during, and after the Christmas festivities.

He emphasized that maintaining peace and security during the celebrations requires a strong partnership between security personnel and the general public, urging residents to cooperate fully with law enforcement officers.

ACP Opoku assured the community that adequate measures would be put in place to protect individual rights while preventing any acts that could disrupt public order and harmony.

He further encouraged members of the public to promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities, assuring them of swift response.

According to him, security personnel in the municipality are fully prepared and committed to ensuring the safety of all residents throughout the festive period.
