Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has stated that an increasing number of Ghanaians are calling for a third term for President John Dramani Mahama, citing what he described as the President’s strong performance in office.
Mr Ayariga made the remarks in his concluding statement as Parliament rose, noting that the calls reflect public satisfaction with the President’s leadership and governance outcomes.
According to the Majority Leader, while such sentiments are being expressed by citizens across the country, the ultimate decision lies with the people and must be guided by constitutional processes.
He emphasised that any discussion about a third term must respect the will of the electorate and the rule of law, adding that democratic principles remain paramount.
