Be mindful and stay safe this festive season — NAS CEO urges staff at Nine Lessons, Carols and Thanksgiving Service

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Dr. George Kojo Owusu, has advised staff to remain mindful in their conduct and take proper care of themselves during the festive season, while calling for unity and teamwork as the Service prepares for the year ahead.

Speaking during the National Ambulance Service’s annual Nine Lessons, Carols and Thanksgiving Service held at the forecourt of the Service Headquarters in Accra, as activities for the year 2025 drew to a close, Dr. Owusu stressed the importance of personal responsibility and professionalism during the Christmas festivities, noting that the nature of the Service’s work demands vigilance and discipline at all times.

He further urged Management and staff to work together in unity to advance the collective goals of the National Ambulance Service in the coming year.

The service brought together Management, staff, and several Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) from the Greater Accra Region in an atmosphere of reflection, gratitude, and fellowship.

The event also marked the official unveiling of the National Ambulance Service Choir by the Chief Executive Officer.

The initiative, according to Management, is aimed at promoting social bonding, unity, and team spirit among staff of the Service.

The Nine Lessons, Carols and Thanksgiving Service is a traditional Christian worship observed during the Christmas season.

Participants described the service as a fitting end to the year, offering an opportunity to give thanks and renew commitment to the life-saving mandate of the National Ambulance Service.
