A 45-year-old farmer from Fodome in the Hohoe North District of the Volta Region is appealing to the public for financial and logistical support to improve his mobility and quality of life.
Mr. Tseado Charles, who has spent his entire life farming within the community, was suddenly paralysed shortly after returning from his farm.
Since the incident, his condition has left him completely bedridden and dependent on others for basic daily activities.
With no close family support and limited resources, Mr. Tseado is unable to move freely or even access sunlight, which is vital for his physical and mental well-being.
He says his greatest need is a wheelchair to help him move outside, eat properly, and regain a sense of dignity.
“At my age, having to defecate into a chamber pot and clean myself in the same room is frustrating and dehumanising,” he lamented.
Mr. Tseado’s situation has left him emotionally distressed, as he says hope is gradually fading due to his inability to care for himself or continue the farming work he once relied on for survival.
