In a significant operation on Friday, June 6, 2025, the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) apprehended a man in his 40s suspected of leading a drug trafficking network in the Dobro area near Amasaman, Ga West Municipality, Greater Accra Region.
The suspect, also a local youth leader, was arrested at approximately 12:30 a.m. during a targeted raid on his residence, based on credible intelligence.

Upon searching the premises, NACOC officers discovered a substantial quantity of illicit drugs, including 28 compressed slabs of a substance believed to be cannabis, along with other unidentified narcotics.
This operation marks a significant breakthrough in NACOC’s ongoing efforts to dismantle drug distribution networks operating within local communities.
The seized substances have been secured for further analysis and investigation.
