The Parliamentary Network Africa(PNAfrica) has condemned the NDC,NPP clash over the Kpandai seat declaration by Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kinsford Bagbin.
The condemnation by PNAfrica comes amid growing concerns about the escalating tensions in Ghana’s Parliament.
The organization’s statement emphasized the need for MPs to uphold the dignity of the House and respect the democratic institutions of the country.
“PNAfrica is deeply concerned about the rising trend of violence and disorder in Ghana’s Parliament,” said Clement Akoloh, Communications Officer for PNAfrica. “We urge all MPs to refrain from actions that undermine the integrity of the institution and the country’s democratic processes.”
The incident has sparked widespread outrage among Ghanaians, with many calling for swift action to address the situation. Social media is abuzz with reactions, with many demanding accountability from their elected representatives.
As the situation continues to unfold, one thing is clear: Ghana’s Parliament is at a crossroads.
“Will the institution take decisive action to restore order and dignity, or will it succumb to the forces of division and chaos?,” the statement quizzed.
The nation waits with bated breath.
