Sunyani West MP Praises Government Policies, Lauds Development in Sunyani West

Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, Hon. Millicent Amankwah Yeboah, has expressed her appreciation for the significant policies and programmes initiated by the current NDC government, which she says have greatly benefited her constituency.

In an interview, Hon. Millicent highlighted the impact of the Big Push policy, which has led to major road infrastructure development in Sunyani West, with most roads being rehabilitated.

She also confirmed the receipt of 80% share of the District Assembly Common Fund(DACF) by the Sunyani West district assembly which had been utilize in major development projects within the area.

Hon. Millicent commended President Mahama for the promise to construct the long-awaited Sunyani Airport, expressing confidence that the project will be completed within the stipulated time.

The lawmaker touted the government’s proactive and commitment in the achievements within the few months in office and urged Ghanaians to support the government’s vision.

She also welcomed the government’s promise to dincrease the feeding fee per student from GHC 8 to GHC 15, saying it will boost school-attending enthusiasm.

Hon. Millicent believes that President Mahama will fulfil the assurances made to Ghanaians, citing the positive impact on students and the community.

She noted that the unavailability of good food in schools can demoralise students, but the government’s initiative will have the opposite effect.

Millicent’s comments reflect the progress made in Sunyani West, with ongoing development and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of constituents.
