President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghana’s youth to embrace education and digital tools to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world.
Speaking to Ghanaians at the 2025 National Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at the Black Star Square in Accra, Mahama emphasized that the youth are key to Ghana’s future prosperity and have a crucial role to play in the country’s success.
The president focused on how important it is for young people to adapt to the changing global economy.
He encouraged Ghanaian youth to learn the skills needed to remain competitive, particularly in areas like coding, data analysis, and entrepreneurship.
He stressed that education, discipline, and hard work are the foundation for success, and that the youth must equip themselves to meet the demands of the modern job market.
“Ghana’s future is in the hands of its young people,” he said.
He urged them to stay disciplined, continue learning, and be ready to take advantage of the opportunities ahead.
By developing technical and business skills, he believes the youth can create new opportunities for themselves and contribute to the nation’s growth.
Mr. Mahama also highlighted the importance of faith as a guiding force for young people.
He encouraged them to remain grounded in their beliefs while also focusing on education as the key to building a brighter future.
A skilled and motivated youth, he said, would be essential for creating long-term prosperity for the country.
The president explained that he is committed to supporting young people by creating an environment where they can access the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
This includes improving access to education and offering chances for youth to get involved in business and technology.
Mr. Mahama also emphasized his administration’s focus on ensuring that all young Ghanaians, including Muslim youth, have the tools and support they need to make the most of these opportunities.
President Mahama urged the youth to take charge of their futures and use the resources available to them to succeed.
He reminded the youth that the future of Ghana rests in their hands, and through hard work, education, and innovation, they can help the country achieve greater success on the global stage.
