Madina MP Launches GH₵1M Welfare Scheme, Rewards Over 3,800 Party Executives for Electoral Success

In a remarkable show of appreciation and grassroots empowerment, the Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis-Xavier Sosu, has launched a GH₵1 million welfare scheme to support the medical and emergency needs of local party executives.

This initiative underscores his commitment to sustaining the momentum of political activism and loyalty within the constituency.

The announcement was made during a lively and well-attended Victory Party and Awards Night, organized by the MP’s office in collaboration with the Madina Constituency Executives, led by Mr. Faila Fuseini Ibrahim, the newly nominated Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La-Nkwantanang-Madina.

The celebratory event honored 3,889 party members drawn from 321 polling stations, who played vital roles in securing electoral gains for the party in the most recent elections.

The recognition spanned a wide range of party operatives, including Ward Coordinators, Secretaries, Organizers, Zonal Leaders, Assembly Members, Unit Committee Members, Financiers, and Volunteers.

Each of these individuals received awards and tokens of appreciation tailored to their contributions. These included citations, certificates, motorcycles, tricycles, laptops, scholarships, job placements, foreign travel opportunities, and cash prizes

The diversity and scale of the rewards reflected the party’s intent to not only celebrate loyalty but also empower individuals to improve their personal and professional lives.

In his address, Mr. Sosu expressed heartfelt gratitude to the grassroots members, attributing the party’s electoral success to their unwavering dedication and tireless mobilization efforts.

“This initiative is our way of saying thank you and ensuring that your sacrifices do not go unnoticed,” he stated, adding that the GH₵1 million fund would serve as a safety net for party members facing health or emergency challenges.

Mr. Faila Fuseini Ibrahim, the Constituency Chairman and MCE nominee, echoed Sosu’s sentiments, commending the unity and resilience displayed by the party base.

He described the gathering as a milestone in the party’s efforts to deepen internal solidarity and motivate ongoing activism ahead of future elections.

Several awardees, visibly emotional, spoke to the media about how the event had validated their years of hard work and personal sacrifice.

Many lauded MP Sosu for his humility, responsiveness, and the visionary approach he has brought to local leadership.

Political analysts suggest that this kind of recognition can significantly bolster party morale and organizational discipline, creating a strong platform for sustained political dominance in Madina.

The welfare scheme and rewards night are now being seen not just as a victory lap, but as a strategic investment in the people who form the backbone of the party’s electoral engine.
