Empowering Youth: New Weekly Loan Program to Boost Mobile Money Vendors in Madina

The Madina Job Center has signed a new partnership agreement with Precept Advisory Ltd to launch INSTABUSINESS—a weekly loan support initiative tailored for Mobile Money (MoMo) vendors in the Madina Constituency.

The program is designed to empower young entrepreneurs, expand access to startup capital, and support Ghana’s broader efforts to create jobs and promote financial inclusion.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Augustine Kwegyir Aggrey, Director for Partnerships at the Madina Job Center, highlighted the importance of innovative financing in underserved communities.

“Our goal is to stimulate entrepreneurship and unlock the potential of youth-led businesses, especially in fast-growing sectors like mobile money services.

Through this partnership with Precept Advisory, we’re connecting grassroots businesses to the financial tools they need to grow,” he said.

Mr. Prince Kwadwo Agyemang, Head of Business at Precept Advisory Ltd, also expressed confidence in the partnership’s potential to make a meaningful impact.

The Madina Job Center, founded as a community-driven development platform, has been at the forefront of job creation since 2019.

Its programs include job placement, vocational training, agricultural support, and small business development. INSTABUSINESS is the latest addition, targeting the financial challenges faced by mobile money agents—particularly limited access to working capital.

Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, praised the initiative, calling it a “practical step” toward empowering local businesses.

“The future of Madina lies in the empowerment of its people, especially the youth.

This project addresses one of the key barriers holding small businesses back—access to finance.

I’m proud to support it and encourage young entrepreneurs to take full advantage.”

Mr. Emmanuel Tetteh, CEO of Precept Advisory Ltd, described the loan model as “simple, accessible, and tailored to the real needs of vendors.”

“We believe in practical solutions that meet people where they are.

This initiative puts financial tools directly in the hands of hardworking Ghanaians.”

For vendors on the ground, the program is a welcome relief.

Salamatu Fuseini, a MoMo vendor at Ritz Junction, shared her enthusiasm:

“Sometimes we run short of float during peak hours.

If this loan helps us keep enough cash to serve customers, it will really boost our business.

I’ll be signing up right away.”

The program officially rolls out this August, beginning in phases.

Selected participants will receive financial literacy training and weekly disbursements to support their operations.

Interested vendors and local entrepreneurs are encouraged to visit the Madina Job Center for registration and more information.

The center remains committed to supporting small business growth and creating pathways for sustainable development in Madina and beyond.
