The Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zenator Agyeman-Rawlings, has called on Ghanaian youth to protect the country’s peace and unity, describing them as the bedrock of national development.
Speaking at the National Youth Authority’s National Youth Conference 2025 at Gomoa Fetteh, she stressed that the harmony Ghanaians enjoy should never be taken for granted.
“The peace we enjoy in Ghana is what allows us to sit together, from different ethnic groups, different regions — in harmony. No politician, no traditional leader, no religious leader should take that away from us.
Let us never take it for granted. Our strength lies in our diversity, and together we must protect it so that Ghana continues to shine as the Black Star of Africa,” she said.
Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings further urged young people to see themselves as guardians of national cohesion, noting that Ghana’s stability and progress hinge on their commitment to unity, tolerance, and mutual respect.
She reminded the youths that the responsibility of building and safeguarding Ghana’s democratic values rests not only with leaders, but also with the youth who represent the country’s future.
