Ghana’s Infrastructure Boost: Accra-Kumasi Expressway Set to Transform Region-Wassa East MP asserts

The proposed Accra-Kumasi Expressway, dubbed the “Mahama Expressway,” is poised to revolutionize Ghana’s infrastructure landscape, according to the Wassa East MP, Honourable Isaac Adjei Mensah.

The MP indicated that the  188.7km, six-lane highway promises to be the best expressway in Africa, connecting Accra to Kumasi and unlocking economic growth.

The MP indicated that key features of the project include eight interchanges, three bridges, two tolls, and four service areas, creating approximately 30,000 jobs.

The project is part of the National Highway and Corridor Project, with a clear budget allocation.

The Government however, assures completion, citing 64% progress on the existing Accra-Kumasi road.

Proponents urge support, emphasizing the expressway’s vital role in Ghana’s growth and development.
