The Member of Parliament for La Dade-Kotopon and Deputy Local Government Minister, Rita Odoley Sowah, has praised President Mahama’s State of the Nation Address, highlighting progress in her constituency and across the country.
“The good people of La are happy and excited… it’s super super good,” she said, referencing the ongoing work on the La General Hospital.
Hon. Sowah expressed optimism about the president’s promises, noting that she has been following up to ensure resources are released for the hospital’s completion.
“I know he will deliver, and I’ve been keeping tabs to ensure the resources are released for the works to continue and be completed,” she added.
The MP also commended the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs for its achievements, including timely releases to district assemblies.
“The district assemblies are getting their releases on time, and the 24-hour economy market plans are far advanced,” she said.
Hon. Sowah highlighted the president’s focus on gender and school feeding programs, saying, “School feeding caterers are being paid, LEAP is being paid on time… there’s a lot going on.” She expressed excitement about the progress, citing drops in fuel prices as another positive development.
The MP’s comments reflect the government’s confidence in its achievements, with citizens in La Dade-Kotopon and beyond benefiting from various initiatives.
