The High Court in Wa has sentenced 24-year-old Shariff Abdulai, also known as “Critos,” to life imprisonment with hard labour for the murder of Issah Yahaya and 22 other victims.
Shariff Abdulai pleaded guilty to a string of killings spanning multiple districts:
- 16 murders in Wa
- 5 in Bole
- 1 in Banda Nkwanta
- 1 in Bamboi
His arrest was effected on October 6, 2025, following sustained, intelligence-led operations by police.
After investigations and committal proceedings at the District Magistrate Court, he was formally arraigned before the High Court in Wa on March 4, 2026.
The accused, represented by counsel, entered a guilty plea simpliciter to the charges.
In response to his plea, His Lordship Justice Osei-Wusu Antwi presided over the case and imposed a life sentence with hard labour.
The convict is to serve his term at the Nawam Medium Security Prison.
