The Ghana Police Service has carried out a show of force and route march within the Ayawaso East Constituency ahead of the upcoming by-election.

The exercise forms part of intensified security preparations aimed at ensuring peace, law, and order before, during, and after the polls.

A significant number of police personnel drawn from various operational units participated in the operation, marching through the principal streets of the constituency.

According to the Service, the exercise was intended to reassure residents, deter potential troublemakers, and demonstrate operational readiness to respond swiftly to any security threat that may arise.

Police officials emphasized their commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for voters, electoral officials, political actors, and other stakeholders throughout the electoral process.

The show of force underscores broader efforts by security agencies to maintain stability and public confidence as the constituency prepares to head to the polls.
