The Ghana Police Service has arrested four alleged key members of a suspected carjacking syndicate believed to be operating in parts of the country.

According to police sources, the arrests followed weeks of intelligence-led investigations into a series of reported vehicle thefts and carjacking incidents.

The suspects are said to have targeted drivers at isolated locations, forcibly taking their vehicles before reselling them or dismantling them for parts.

Intelligence-Led Operation

Police indicated that the operation was carefully planned after tracking the activities and movements of the group.

Officers reportedly swooped in at separate locations, leading to the arrest of the four individuals believed to be central figures in the syndicate’s operations.

Preliminary investigations suggest the group may be linked to multiple cases currently under investigation.
