A 45-year-old woman, Ms. Yaa, has allegedly been killed by her boyfriend.
The incident happened Wednesday night, April 2, at about 8:30 pm at Nyafoman in the Birim North municipal area of the Eastern Region.
Reports suggest there was a brawl between the two.
The suspect, a farmer named Mr. Kwame, is alleged to have attempted suicide but ended up injuring himself on the neck.
He sustained a deep cut on the neck.
According to the assembly member in the area, Mr. Jonas Armah confirmed the incident to reporters.
Mr. Armah added that he has reported to the Police Command in the municipality.
“I believe that Kwame is currently receiving treatment at the Hospital,” he started.
The body of the deceased, Ms.Yaa, has been deposited in the Hospital morgue.
